Burn That Fat http://locatereviews.com/390772717...
Lets first talk about losing weight in general.
We both know the simple FACT, if you eat less
calories then you are right now you will lose
weight. This can either mean eating healthier
(foods that are filling but less calories or
simply eating less).
Here's the problem. Food is literally an
addiction. Our body gets hungry when our blood
glucose levels are not what the brain has
determined to be the optimal level.
Here's an example of a girl named Jenny:
Jenny grew up overeating and snacking a lot.
She consumed around 3000 calories a day, mostly
junk (because they contain little nutrients).
Jenny now weighs 200 pounds at age 25. Jenny
didn't know she's been training her brain to
expect a high level of glucose since she was
little. And, guess what.
When her glucose levels drops below a certain
point, Jenny's brain sends the hunger single out
"EAT NOW!" and she does.
The "EAT NOW!" feeling is when you start to
feel it in your stomach.
Basically food is addictive just like any
drug and can be over consumed teaching your
brain to think eating 3500 calories a day
is normal!
It's a downward spiral, because as you get
older and maintain this formed habit it gets
harder and harder to lose weight because your
metabolism is also slowing down, even if you
think you're eating less.
Remember, it's not your fault, it is an
addiction!
So your first step in getting your weight
under control (and really that is what you're
doing is controlling your hunger) is knowing
how many calories you should be intaking a day.
Either way it's ok, most people have no idea how
many calories they are consuming or should be
consuming.
So how many calories should you be consuming?
Well on average the amount of calories is 15
calories per pound. So, if you weigh 150 pounds
you can consume approximately 2,250 calories a
day (150x15).
Either you're thinking wow that's a lot of
calories, I can eat quite a bit of food, or the
opposite you're baffled at how few calories it is.
Lets put it this way, ONE slice of Pizza Hut
Pizza (regular deep dish) is approximately 600
Calories. How many slices do you eat? Add in
200 calories per 16 ounce soda (or more depending
on type) and you can easily be over your daily
caloric intake in one meal.
Once you start talking snack foods like potatoe
chips, doritos, pretzels and the like, you're
talking hundreds of calories for just a few
"servings."
Wait! It gets worse...
Obviously the more active you are the more
calories you will burn. But most snack foods
are eaten close to bed time. So guess what?
You don't burn them off, they get stored in
your body as unused energy, or... FAT!
