Asus released another worlds first - the Eee Stick, an easy-to-use yet highly versatile Plug and Play wireless controller for the PC platform that translates users´ physical hand motions into corresponding movements onscreen. The Eee Sticks promise to its users easy plug and play, excellent 3D remote and gaming enjoyment. The Sticks ˜normal buttons and analogue stick controls register as a standard Human Interface Device (HID), though, the Stick should also be useable with just about any game. However, the Eee Stick will only be available as a bundled part of special Eee PC and Eee Box packs.

Google Music Search Engine launches in China

Google China has said that it will start a music search engine according to Vnunet. Google will directly compete with Chinas biggest search company Baidu. Baidus music search proved popular internationally, but after record industry legal challenges, the company is blocking foreign access. Earlier this year the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry claimed Chinas entire music business was a blatant violation of copyright laws and has called on advertisers to boycott Baidu as it launches new legal action against the company, along with Yahoo China and Sohu.

Toyota introduced Winglet the Segway killer

Toyota Motor Corporation introduced the Winglet, a personal transport assistance robot ridden in a standing position. Its the first gadget to duplicate the navigation system of Segway Transporter, a self-balancing through gyroscopic sensors detecting the gentle directional tilts of a rider. The Winglet consists of a body (with a projected area the size of an A3 sheet of paper) that houses an electric motor, two wheels and internal sensors that constantly monitor the users position and make adjustments in power to ensure stability. Meanwhile, a unique parallel link mechanism allows the rider to go forward, backward and turn simply by shifting body weight, making the vehicle safe and useful even in tight spaces or crowded environments. Toyota Motor Sales has plans to integrate its Bluetooth hands-free system on the new 2009 Vergas. The new model will be on sale this fall which will add to the other 15 cars with Bluetooth as well. Addition to its hands-free system is navigational DVD system and JBL speakers. Other features include one-touch call answering via steering wheel controls or the navigational display, automatic stereo mute with incoming/outgoing calls, and voice command functions for a safer conversational driving experience.

Seagate Barracuda announced 1.5TB hard drive

Seagate announced their largest capacity Barracuda hard drive. The 7200.11 RPM hard disk drive will be release this August according to Seagate. There are also a pair of Momentus 2.5-inch 500GB notebook drives coming in Q4 in 5400 and 7200RPM speeds.

Gmail using DomainKeys to fight phishers

Last Tuesday, Google is now using an e-mail authentication technology (DomainKeys) for their Gmail users. DomainKeys uses cryptography to verify the domain of the sender. It allows e-mail providers to validate the domain from which an email originates. Yahoo also used the same technology to protect their users with eBay and PayPal accounts from phishing attempts.

World's largest solar array rooftop from GM

General Motors is going to install the Worlds Largest rooftop solar array on its Zaragosa assembly plant in Spain. GM entered partnership with Clairvoyant Energy, Veolia Environmental and the Government of Aragon. The array will be 12MW and will cover 2 million square feet with 85,000 panels surpassing the previous record holder Atlantic Convention Center with 9.64MW only. GM hopes this project will help them to reduce their cost and also help the environment for clean power.
