Is Vin Diesel The New Arnold? http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/is-vin-diesel-... "Chaunna and I were arguing about this in the shower. I gotta know what you think on this one What say you?
Sure, Vin makes the ladies drool but isnt he really just filling a hole since Arnold is gone? Or is he a completely unique actor with his own style and own look? My wife thinks hes in a whole category all on his own but I think different.

Couples Retreat Movie Review: http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/couples-retrea... "OK so, my initial response is that any movie shot in Bora Bora has got to be a great time. Talk about jealous! This movie has a beautiful setting the entire time who wouldnt come home with a better relationship. This movie was a good laugh and a great movie for a Couples Night Out.
For those of you looking for a more detailed look of the movie plot here ya go:
Following failed attempts to conceive, Jason and Cynthia are close to getting a divorce. In an effort to save their marriage they book a vacation to a couples therapy retreat, called Eden. To save money they encourage their friends to join them, and claim that their friends can enjoy the party activities and not take part in the therapy. Reluctantly their friends, Dave and Ronnie, Joey and Lucy, and recently divorced Shane and his girlfriend Trudy agree.
Upon their arrival at Eden, they are sent to the couples resort on the west side of the island, and forbidden from traveling to East Eden, which hosts a singles resort. During their first night, resort host Sctanley informs all four couples that they must all engage in the couples therapy or leave the resort. Despite reluctance to do the therapy, the couples decide that they will attend so they can enjoy the other amenities of the island.
At their first therapy session, all four couples learn they have problems with their relationships; Even Ronnie and Dave, who thought they were fine. They endure the resort owner Marcels unusual methods, including swimming with sharks and yoga sessions with amorous instructor Salvadore. On the fourth night, Trudy escapes to Eden East and the other seven, encouraged by Joey who is unsatisfied with his marriage, leave to find her. Following an argument between Cynthia and Jason, the men and women split up.
The women run into Salvadore, and he takes them to Eden East. The men come across the staff lounge, and find Sctanley playing Guitar Hero. He threatens to report them to Marcel, but Dave challenges him to the game, not telling Sctanley that he is involved in the games production. Dave beats Sctanley and he directs them to Eden East.
When they arrive, Dave realizes what he has with Ronnie and takes her to be alone at the waterfall. Joey sees Lucy with Salvadore and knocks him out, re-uniting with his wife. Cynthia and Jason share drinks and admit their problems. Shane runs in to his ex-wife, who admits she still loves him. All four couples return to Eden West. Marcel meets the couples and, seeing that they have worked out their problems, frees them from the therapy and tells them to go jet skiing.

Daybreakers Rumored To Break In To The Top Vampire Movies http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/moviestalker-a... "Soon to be released, Daybreakers has the makings of a great vamp movie that could break into the Megalist of Best Vampire Movies Ever Made. Its even got a killer cast lineup of Vampires -Ethan Hawke, Sam Niel, Michael Dorman, VS. Humans Isabel Lucas, Claudia Karvan, Willem Dafoe (a cured vampire).
So, heres the storyline
A plague hits earth and transforms the all of the worlds population (well almost all) into vampires. These vampires have hunted down the surviving humans and are now farming them for their blood. Well, like all fuel sources they are diminishing so there is a mad rush to find a blood alternative. Ethan Hawke plays a vampire doctor that has been working on a blood alternative, but the human survivors turn to Ethans Character Edward. They reveal the cure. Of course this turns into a battle between vampires and humans leaving us wondering about the future of the human race.
Im excited to see this movie not that I would miss any vampire movie no matter how lame it might seem, but Im hoping this one comes close to the vampire greats like the Underworld series, Blade, and Interview With The Vampire.
This film is Not Yet Rated
Hits Theaters January 8, 2010 what a way to start the new year :)
Watch the trailer and let me know what you think does it have what it takes to become a great?"
Adam Lambert Saves Us From World Destruction http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/adam-lambert-s... "
This Friday the movie 2012 releases to theaters and I am really anxious to see if it makes the grade when it comes to Save The Human Race disaster movies. I mean this movie has to beat (or at least match) my all time favorites Armageddon & The Day After Tomorrow both of these came with killer special effects, a cast that delivered, and a story that had your heart racing in hopes theyd survive in the end.
I am really hoping that the cast in 2012 can do the same. John Cusack plays a divorced father, Amanda Peet plays his ex wife Kate and mother to their two kids, Noah and Lilly (played by Morgan Lilv and Liam James). Also starring in the film is Danny Glover as the USA president, and Woody Harrelson as Charlie Frost a man that prophesies the end of the world, but to most people is considered crazy. Im sure Woody will kick butt in this role especially after seeing him in the marketing video clips leading up to this movie.
Which by the way if you havent seen any of the pre-movie release marketing campaigns.. you must check them out
The first is the Institute for Human Continuity a mission to preserve the human race when the world comes to an end in 2012. Their site explains it all http://www.instituteforhumancontinuity.org
Though its a fictional site, it site actually caused a LOT of ruckus in the beginning by running an actual lottery that would randomly select people to be on the ark when the end of the world came. Though is was completely fictional and supposed to be a viral marketing campaign this campaign actually led people to believe the end of the world was coming and there are some reports that people even called in because they were planning on suicide FREAKY!
On the flip site of the Institute For Human Continuity is a rebel site, http://thisistheend.com ran by Charlie Frost to reveal the conspiracy behind the end of the world.
My final note on the movie I think it totally ROCKS that Adam Lambert sings the theme song Time For Miracles enjoy the music video :) "
Michael Jacksons This Is It Movie Review http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/michael-jackso... "First, lets just start by saying where else can you get a back stage pass to Michael Jackson for just $9? This was a great movie that showcased Michaels true talent and his passion for sharing a great message with the world. Heres our video review
This was a truly great look at what would have been a fantastic show. To be honest it was sort of surreal sitting in the theater watching Michael perform knowing that youd never get a chance to see him live.
For those of you that like to get the low down on the film ahead of time there really wasnt a storyline or plot that I could describe for you so I figured Id just share the list of songs that are performed in the show.
1. Wanna Be Startin Somethin
2. Speechless
3. Jam
4. Bad
5. Mind Is The Magic

A Volturi SneakPeek http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/moviestalker-a... "With 16 days until the release of New Moon, Summits done an exquisite job of slowly releasing bits and pieces of the movie. Weve seen sneak peaks of the werewolves, the Cullen Family, and now todays release is a better look at the Volturi.
In case youre a perfectly sane person that hasnt stalked the Twilight Saga over the past few months like I have the Volturi are a very powerful coven of vampires in the Twilight Saga. They are the oldest and also the rule enforcers. This inside look shows us a little more of the fight seen between Edward Cullen and Felix (a Volturi Henchman). Theyve changed a few details fro the book, but Im sure itll make for a great fight scene in the movie.
In this behind the scenes look we hear from the Stephanie Meyer, along with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Cameron Bright, Daniel Cudmore, Jamie Campbell Bower, Christopher Heyerdahl."
My Son Goes Up & I Get The Ugly Truth http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/my-son-goes-up... Todays new DVD releases include Disney Pixars Up and The Ugly Truth. I personally loved both movies and highly suggest getting either one of them.
Up is definitely a stocking stuffer Ill give away this year. The story has a great message about how its never to late to follow your dreams a message that my husband and I have followed ourselves and try to encourage those around us to keep in mind. Its easy to let life get in the way of your goals, plans, and dreams but the movie Up reminds us that its never to late.
I will admit that this movie pushes on your emotions. When I took my son to see this in the theater we both got a little choked up because they did such a great job of building your bond in Carl and his wife and you see their happiness. When she passes you feel his loneliness and sadness. On the flip side, I felt the director did an excellent job by countering those sad depressing feelings with laughter and joy through Carl & Russells adventure through the clouds. This is a movie I am sure my son will watch over and over again thank goodness we dont have the wear and tear that VHS tapes had back in the day.
Side Note: in the movie is a lovable dog names Dug. The DVD has a special Animated Short Film called Dugs Special Mission. I havent watched it yet, but Ive always enjoyed Pixars animated short films (my son too).
Next up is The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl & Gerard Butler. I put my cards on the table now and tell you that I already own 27 Dresses, Knocked Up, and was a fanatic for Roswel (one of her early TV roles). My husband and I also love Gerard Butlers action roles so this movie seemed to be a perfect fit for us. I was a little hesitant of how Gerard would do when he wasnt kicking butt and taking names, but I felt he played this role really well (and the accent sure helps
In this movie, Katherine plays Abby the producer for a show that Gerard who plays Mike is a sexist man that tells women the real truth about men and how they think. The battle between his sexist remarks and her uptight over-controlling personality lead them into a challenge where Mike promises to get Abby a date with her dreamy doctor if she just follows what his advice. This challenge leads her down a path of risque but hilarious path. This isnt a movie Id watch with the family, but its a hilarious chick flick that has a storyline that your other half can enjoy too.
I want to hear from you Let me know which new dvd release you picked up and what you thought.
New DVD Releases http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/new-dvd-releas... I love Tuesdays for the most obvious of reasons. New Movie Tuesdays! In case you dont already know new movie releases normally hit the shelves on Tuesdays. This Tuesday is like the buffet line for movie goers tons of new releases sure to hit your specific movie preference. Heres the run down:
1. Star Trek (also available in Two-Disc Digital Copy Edition)
I used to watch the original Star Trek series with my dad as a little girl to be honest I always thought they were a little dull (just my personal opinion). However, when the new one hit theaters it sure didnt disappoint. It was action packed, HOT actors, a great storyline and I even enjoyed how they tied in this new Star Trek to the older ones (instead of just remaking them with the same old storyline weve all watched at some point in our lives). The second I left the theater I made sure to call up my Dad, it was a definitely MUST See for him. Ive already purchased a copy of this DVD and a second to add to my Dads stocking this Christmas. If youre the kind that likes action, a little comedy, and a good story this is a great watch.
2. My Sisters Keeper
Let me just start by saying if you buy this buy a box of tissues to go with it. I read the book on vacation a few years back. I laughed and cried right along side the characters in the book. The movie gets you to do the same. The only downside to me was that they left so much out of the book, which left a few of the characters (like the dad and brother) lacking in the movie. Its still a good watch, however I wish they didnt take so much away from the book (but isnt that how it goes with almost every book turned movie?). Either way I still picked up a copy of this one. If youre in the mood for a good movie to snuggle up and cry with this is the one youre looking for.
3. Bruno
I cant give you my personal review on this movie except that I wouldnt go see it in the theater, and I would never purchase this to be in my home. After his first hellacious movie Borat, I refused to never see another Sorry, but Im just not into having our younger generations exposed to the ridiculous scenes in these film I think Id lose brain cells jsut watching htem no thanks. However, Ive heard that if you liked Borat youd like Bruno more power to ya Ill pass on these films.
4. How to Be
Watch Out everyone! Robert Pattinsons new movie just hit the shelves today. I havent seen it yet, but it was the first movie I added to my Netflix que this morning. I even moved it to the top so that Id get it this week. I am hoping that the movie is great however the only reason Ive added it to my que is for the handsome Edward Cullen I mean, Robert Pattinson I didnt buy this movie right away for the simple reason that I never heard anything great about the movie so rental it is until it proves its worth. Ill let you know if its worth the buy once I watch it.
5. Black Dynamite
A comedy set in the 70s where herion is taking over the streets. After the death of his brother, Balck Dynamite starts a war to keep the drugs off the streets
which begins the car chases, gun fights, and hilarious one liners (so Ive been told). I havent seen this movie yet, but its at the top of my Netflix que. Ive heard from others that this movie (thought may be cheesy in some parts) is hilarious. If youre looking for a cheesy funny movie Id suggest this as a rental (Ill give it a buy review once Ive seen it but for now its just a rental).
6. Thirst
I havent heard much about this release as I would have liked to. Its another vampire film where theyre looking for a cure.. a priest volunteers to help find a cure, but takes a turn for the worse. I havent heard anything positive or negative on the film. My only downside is that its language is completely Japanese so youll be reading subtitles the entire time. I couldnt commit myself to buying this one, but Ive added it to netflix as well I just cant pass up another vampire movie
Thats about it for this weeks new DVD releases. Let me know which ones you picked up this week and your thoughts on them Id love to hear form you
Will This Cast Of Thieves Take The Big Screen? http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/will-this-cast... Woot Woot! Paul Walker has a new movie coming out and he looks like hes going kick some butt. The best part is that is that he comes with some great sick kicks too well Im not entirely sure whos the side kick, but this cast looks to make a great Cops & Robbers movie.
The movie, Takers is a typical heist storyline where a group of thieves band together for a big job a 20 million dollar bank job. It seems to me that this movie has a similar storyline as the Italian Job with Mark Walberg a few years back.
Matt Dillon plays the detective that plans to catch this group of thieves. The thieves made up of Paul Walker, Hayden Christensen, Idris Elba, Michael Ealy, Chris Brown, and T.I. dont plan on getting caught (of course) and devise an elaborate explosion-filled plan for breaking into a bank and walking away with millions. Only, because the thieves are a bunch of untrustworthy criminals, no one knows whos turning their back on who in the process.
Im hoping the actors really pull through some of the newbies on board, but I wouldnt miss it even with bad acting in the mix because just look at the line up of hot bad boys in this film Im sure the guys will love the cops and robbers storyline and the gals wellwe can enjoy the show (wink)!
This movie is not yet rated and is due to hit the big screens on February 26th 2010.
2012 Laughter, Tears, & Special Effects http://wehaveamovieproblem.com/2012-laughter-... The movie 2012 was exactly what I was expectingit had an action packed storyline, a cast that worked well together, and digital effects that were incredible. I loved hearing people complain about how this movie was too much or overdone I just have to say it what did you expect? Its an end of the world movie?! When the world is coming to an end you should expect that people will be overdramatic and some crazy things will happen.
Now onto the actual movie, the timeline introduction was cool. I thought it was a great way to let the viewers get a little back-story without dragging us through two years of events. It was short and to the point, however I dont think they really got across the point (as much as they could have) that the governments new about the impending doom years before it was close but decided not to tell the world.
There characters in the movie played there roles thats really all I could say I thought the scientist, Adrian Helmsley played by Chiwetel Ejiofor did a great job. My most favorite character by far was the Russian, Yuri Karpov played by Zlatko Burić. Though hes one of the bad guys in the film he has some great one-liners and plays the Russian Billionaire quite well. John Cusack, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson all did a decent job of playing their roles the distant and divorced father, the loyal and noble president, and the lunatic that shouts from a mountain the world is ending.
The special effects in this movie were outstanding (The clip above is a 5 minute video clip i found that shows the quality of the special effects). When the earth starts to fall apart the crust cracking, the rippled effects through the mountains, the earth opening up and sucking in the city all incredible graphicsmakes you really wonder if thats how itll happen. I thought they did an excellent job using the special effects to explain that no matter where you are in the world whether its highlands away from the tsunamis or coastal lands away from the volcanic eruptions no one will be safe. (Better hope you have it in good with the government or have built up a billion dollar empire).
Ok so, I just have to point out a few buzz kills in the movie just to get them off my chest. There are 2 that did it for me and I wished they would have made these two scenes just a little more realistic so that the movie wasnt ruined (Ok I shouldnt say ruined I should just say that I went from getting into the movie and anticipating safety for the main characters to realizing Im sitting in a theater and this is just ridiculous story writing).
Scene 1: is when the beloved stepfather and family are waiting for John to find a map from the crazy mans trailer. The mountains are exploding all around them, the kids jog easily into the plain, the ex-wife is waiting with tears in her eyes and johns hunting through an RV for some maps. The ground below the RV opens up and John starts to slide out into the bottomless pit of lava and you think hes done for, but wait! He reaches with his hand at the last minute and climbs himself out of the cliff and back onto land. WOW I didnt know authors/limo drivers were that in shape.
Thats when the really unrealistic part starts the earth is caving in behind him as he runs towards a plane thats speeding down the runway to takeoff before theyre all engulfed by the earths destruction. Can I just say Oh come on? Really we couldnt think of anything more to happen in that scene? The airplane gets a flat tire, one of the wings of the plane burns off and they duck tape it back on? Lets just say it was comical and I wished they had done a better job.
Movie Killer Scene #2 ugh I dont want to ruin the ending too much for you, but let me just say the camera angle at the end is absolutely ridiculous. The controllers conveniently cant figure out what is jamming the door, but somehow we happen to have a security camera that works at the exact time John Cusacks character is down there un-jamming the door. Puh-leeease!
Ok, Im not going to give away anymore of the movie. If youre up for an action packed, end of the world, the human race is going to come to an end, the government is still greedy and egotistical type of movie then this is the one for you. Theres laughter, tears, and even a Heck Yeah ending that youre looking for. It was a movie comparable to The Day After Tomorrow, but not nearly as good as Armageddon (I just love Bruce Willis).
This movie is PG-13 Justin gives it 4 stars he says it was a great movie, just the overdone scenes knocked out the 5th star. I have to say I agree. I originally thought Id give this 3.5 stars because of the unrealistic scenes, but I must admit for me the special effects of the worlds destruction are worth the extra half a star so I agree with the 4 star rating.
Plus kudos to Adam Lambert for singing the theme song Time for Miracles
Lets talk movies will you see this one? If not, why? If so, let us know your thoughts
