No more guesses. No more renderings. We have obtained the first official photos of the Audi Metroproject Quattro concept, believed to be the first version of the Audi A1. In an earlier interview, Audi Technical Development chief Michael Dick said the A1 would be "manlier and sportier" than the MINI Cooper. And he was right.

This concept is likely to be the basis for the Audi A1. We can only hope that the great styling continues into a production version of the MINI Cooper fighter. It looks like this concept is a hybrid based on the electric motor and battery pack visible through the trunk floor along with a charge indicator. The engine in the concept is a 1.4 liter TFSI, but production engines are expected to range from 1.2 to 2.0 liters.
