Since December 2006, when we caught the first glimpses of a facelifted Porsche 911 on Nurburgring, nearly every other Porsche 911 on Nurburgring has showed a new facelifted shape - and this time it’s the 911 Turbo that’s gone under the knife! While we’d like to call it a facelift, the lack of visible changes in the front makes the prototype more of a "rear lift." The 997 Turbo, pictured, features re-modelled rear lights with LEDs as well as a new bumper with altered air outlets and exhaust pipes. The current turbocharged 3.6-liter Boxer six-cylinder engine puts out 480 hp, while the facelift is expected to produce 500 hp thanks to a new direct-injection engine.
