Spanish housing market: a good time to buy in Andalusia? http://www.movingtoandalusia.com/2008/10/spanis... As I am looking to buy a house in the Andalusian Alpujarras I'm curious how the global economical crisis is affecting the real estate prices in this neck of the woods.
Type "Spanish housing market" into any old search engine and you'll get millions of results. Google gives you over 11.100.000 results, Yahoo! yields a whopping 22.100.000. Apparently, I'm not the only one who's curious.
So I figured I'd ask someone in the know and who better than real estate agent Mike Harbourne, though, as he stated himself, "Never trust a real estate agent!"

The Best Thing about La Alpujarra? http://www.movingtoandalusia.com/2009/05/the-be... I´ve been back to the motherland for the past two months and it was lovely. I got to hang out with my friends, have endless cups of tea with my mama, browsed the shops with my sister and I ate all the stuff I miss when I´m out here: boerenkool, my mum´s meatballs, my favorite Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Indian place. Come to think of it, a lot of the last two months was spent eating ;)
After a while I tend to forget what I love so much about living here. Yeah, of course, the weather, the space, the country side, the easy pace of living, the tapas and the wonderful fact that they put beer mugs in the freezer so your beer is always icily cold. Small slivers of ice floating around, it´s lovely.
