NetDevilz a Turkish group took responsibility in redirecting ICANN site visitors to a page with the following message: “You think that you control the domains but you don’t! Everybody knows wrong. We control the domains including ICANN! Don’t you believe us? haha :) (Lovable Turkish hackers group)”. Last June 19, 2008, they also hijacked Photobuckeet’s DNS records which resulted in a denial of service. This attack on ICANN is embarassing, last week they declared the extension of generic top-level domain name (gTLD) under the new plan and extend the url suffixes next year.
