They have a rich history and have produced some of footballs most memorable moments and players. Some of the most famous players are the three time Superbowl MVP quarterback, Joe Montana. Other football legends include Ronnie Lott, Jerry Rice and Roger Craig. Currently, the 49ers are in a transitional period and have some great young players. While this may not be their year to go far in the play offs, it certainly looks like they are a team heading in the right direction.
