From God’s perspective, there is much in the “dating game”¯ that works against forming healthy, lasting relationships. For many people, dating means the continual making and breaking of casual romantic relationships - patterns that teach us more how to end relationships than how to make them last.

What About Tithing? Do I Need to Tithe? | The Brown Bible
http://brownbible.com/rev-ken-brown-articles/bi...
(by Ken Brown) Tithing, paying one tenth, is based on the Old Testament law which we are no longer under. But what about today in this administration of grace in which we live? Christians can certainly give one tenth of their incomes if they want to and even correctly call it their tithes since tenth part is all the word tithe means, but there is no commandment in effect today to do so. Giving is encouraged in the New Testament, but there is no statement as to how much.
