Bioshock Demo: The Quickie Review http://www.glinkster.com/link_detail.php?id=221... The Bioshock demo has been on the marketplace for a few days now and i cant help but play it over and over again. I covered Bioshock many times because i expected it to be good, but if the demo is this great, what can we expect for the final game? Bioshock starts off you off in the ocean in the middle of a blazing fire which leads you to a tower near the area where the plane went down. The second you enter, you will notice how the light hits the details of the architecture. That already shows off a game that obviously had a lot of work put into it. I dont want to spoil any of the game/demo for you, so i highly suggest that you download this demo. Bioshock deserves to be played in a dark room with a good sound system. On my 5.1 I could hear everything that happened and when the music, the sounds and the enemy chatter come together with the environment, its a beautiful thing. Dont run through the game too quickly, take the time to enjoy the sights. At one point i even stood in a room to watch the water slowly fill a room. I was easily captured by the game, and immediately, I understood. This was not your average adventure shooter. This a whole experience in its self and the city just begs to be explored. Bioshock is a must buy and expect it to get good ratings.

TimeShift finally dated for October 30 http://www.glinkster.com/link_detail.php?id=215... After two delays and rumours that the project had been abandoned all together, Sierra Entertainment has today given the official nod that first-person shooter TimeShift will be released for the Microsoft Xbox 360 and PC on October 30. PlayStation 3 owners, however, will be left twiddling their thumbs until December before they can get their hands on it.
Epic sues Silicon Knights for Copyright Infringement http://www.glinkster.com/link_detail.php?id=216... Wow this is really heating up. Epic Games has sued Silicon Knights in an attempt to both protect their Unreal 3 code, and get over $650,000 for the damages this suit has caused them. Silicon Knights stated when this all began that they wanted to use the Unreal 3 tech in the creation of their Too Human engine which they dont think they need to pay for, because of the time it took for Epic to finish the engine. But this voids their contract in two ways. First they promised that they would use Unreal 3 in the development of all their 360, PS3, and PC games. By making their own engine they are voiding their agreement and still using UE3 code. Also they are making a game for Sega which does not use Unreal 3, this also voids their agreement for the same reason. Silicon Knights seems to be between a rock and a hard place with all the contracts they have signed to get the Unreal 3 Engine in their games. I wonder if the case will be televised on Court TV or Xbox Live.
Pre-Order Halo 3 at 7-11? http://www.glinkster.com/link_detail.php?id=216... It is August and Halo 3 is just around the corner and the Halo advertisements are appearing everywhere. Microsoft and Bungie isnt just doing some fancy-schmancy advertisements. They have what I call a balls-out marketing plan. Its not just limited to Slurpees and Mountain Dew like last time, Halo 3 ads have been spotted everywhere. With Mountain Dew that apparently taste like cough syrup, the lovable Halo Slurpee cups, Doritos, Burger King meals, Pontiac commercials and even sponsoring Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance. With all that, why is it that the other day when me and my buddies were at 7-11 my cousin spots a Halo 3 sign saying Reserve your copy today? Are they so worried that their game wont sell that they have to have preorders at 7-11? Without hesitation we asked about the sign and they guy confirmed that yes, you can pre-order your game there, but adds that you can only do it with a manager. So much for one game. Probably because they expect Halo 3 to not only sell millions of copies in one day, but to also sell Xbox 360 consoles. Halo 3 is going to be big, but doesnt everyone already know that?
Halo 3 has become the fastest-selling pre-ordered game EVER! http://www.glinkster.com/link_detail.php?id=215... Microsoft has revealed today that Halo 3 has become the fastest-selling pre-ordered game in the history of the world EVER - with over 1 million copies already snapped up in anticipation for the hotly tipped first-person shooter. It isn t as if Halo 3 needed any more hype, but what the hey, why keep it to themselves, eh? Pre-orders have been taking place for all three versions of the title: Halo 3: Standard Edition, Limited Edition and the quot;OMGZ it s a Spartan helmet!! quot; Legendary Edition, since as far back as November 2006.
