Dozens of people are trapped in Hong Kong’s World Trade Centre following a fire on Wednesday, according to several news reports.

According to the Hong Kong Free Press, the fire is still ongoing and the alarm level has been raised.

It is believed that the fire broke out on the building’s first floor where renovations are ongoing.

A video posted on social media by Citizen News showed more than a dozen people, including elderly, trapped in a roof deck on the fifth floor of the building.

Rescue efforts are ongoing.
