Tunisia and Denmark draw their high-energy match | Qatar World Cup 2022 News

Both sides were guilty of failing to convert some good opportunities in a thrilling Group D match.

Don’t judge this game by its score. Tunisia battled Denmark to a nil-nil draw that must rank as one of the more exciting matches in World Cup history to end without a goal to show for the thrills it offered.

The Group D match on Tuesday evening saw Tunisia bring the energy from the start, with crunching tackles and players rallying the countless fans from the North African nation in the Education City Stadium.

The Eagles of Carthage, as the Tunisian team are known, dominated the early stages, but slowly Denmark grew into the game and began to dominate possession.

Tunisia missed a couple of gilt-edged chances either side of half-time as their fans continued to pressure Danish players with whistles and boos.

However, perhaps the best chance of the game fell to Denmark’s Andreas Cornelius, who inexplicably headed against the post from point-blank range.

In the end, a draw seemed like a fair result, but both sides will be concerned that they could not convert a couple of good chances.
