12.55 Doncaster – Mahler Mission & Gentleman At Arms headline feature

The Grade Two December Novices’ Chase (12.55) looks competitive with Mahler Mission and Gentleman At Arms topping a field of eight.

Gentleman At Arms finished runner-up over hurdles in Grade One company at Aintree and will make his chasing bow here for Stuart Edmunds and Ciaran Gethings.

Mahler Mission ran out an easier winner of a Grade Two hurdle at this course in January and will look to build on his first start over fences for John McConnell and Daryl Jacob.

Five-year-old mare Bellatrixsa represents the in-form Venetia Williams yard, while Bridget Andrews gets aboard Jet Plane for Dan Skelton.

1.30 Doncaster – O’Brien’s Nusret faces Scriptwriter in Summit

A strong-looking Listed bet365 Summit Juvenile Hurdle (1.30) has attracted nine runners with Joseph O’Brien sending over Punchestown debut winner Nusret with Daryl Jacob riding.

Rated 89 on the flat, he made a perfect transition to hurdling and will likely head the market in the famous Simon Munir and Isaac Souede green silks.

Milton Harris claimed this race with Knight Salute last season and fields two runners this year. The pick of those looked to be Scriptwriter, the ride of Paddy Brennan.

The three-year-old made it two from two over hurdles at Cheltenham last month and will shoulder a 5lb penalty for that success. Stablemate Polyphonic will need to improve on his third at Leicester to be involved.

2.54 Newcastle – Enemy & Solent Gateway clash over two miles

The BetUK Over 40,000 Live Streamed Races Conditions Stakes (2.54) is the latest All-Weather Fast-Track Qualifier, run over two miles and featuring two classy stayers.

Enemy has some excellent form to his name including being placed in Group Three company and will represent Ian Williams and Danny Tudhope.

His biggest rival looks to be Hugo Palmer’s Solent Gateway, who finished third in the Northumberland Plate here in June and will hope to land a first all-weather victory under Cieren Fallon.

Unbridled Power completes the line-up but is likely to be outclassed by his rivals.
