Rosie O’Donnell & More Pay Tribute
Michelle Trachtenberg’s loved ones are paying tribute.
Following the Gossip Girl alum’s shocking death on Feb. 26 at age 39, her colleagues and friends from across her more than three-decade career paid tribute, including her Harriet the Spy costar Rosie O’Donnell who expressed an outpouring of love.
“Heartbreaking,” she said in a statement to Us Weekly. “I loved her very much. She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”
Gossip Girl‘s Ed Westwick also paid tribute, writing on his Instagram Story, “So sad to hear of the passing of @michelletrachtenberg. Sending prayers.”
Michelle was found dead in her New York City apartment on Feb. 26, local police confirmed to E! News. Per police, her death is not currently being investigated as suspicious, and an autopsy will determine her ultimate cause of death
According to ABC News, citing police sources, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum had recently undergone a liver transplant, noting police sources speculate she may have been experiencing complications. The outlet also reports it was Michelle’s mother who found her.
