Antonio Conte: Tottenham head coach describes reports linking him with Paris Saint-Germain job as ‘fake news’ | Football News
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has described speculation linking him with the Paris Saint-Germain job as “fake news”.
Reports emerged in France and Italy earlier this week suggesting Conte was interested in replacing Mauricio Pochettino at the Ligue 1 club.
But Conte said: “Obviously I think it is good that other clubs appreciate my work. But this is one thing. The truth is that I don’t like when people try to invent news, only to speak or create problems.
“This is not right or fair for me or for the clubs involved.
“This situation makes me smile, but I think the people that want to tell something like this have to show respect for all the people that are involved in this situation and not invent fake news and tell a lot of lies.”
Conte, who has one year left on his contract, added he would discuss his future at the end of the season.
“Now don’t listen to fake news and people for sure want to create problems for the environment,” he said.
“We have five games to play and then at the end of the season, in a private way, I will speak with my club and I will see the best solution.”
