Czech Republic U21 1 – 2 England U21: Emile Smith Rowe and Jacob Ramsey send England top of Group G | Football News

Emile Smith Rowe and Jacob Ramsey were on target as England U21s went top of their qualifying group for the Euros with a 2-1 win in the Czech Republic.

Arsenal’s Smith Rowe opened the scoring with a magnificent half-volley midway through the first half after Curtis Jones had seen his effort saved by the onrushing Vitezslav Jaros.

Aston Villa midfielder Ramsey doubled England’s lead in the first minute of the second half.

Daniel Fila pulled a goal back for the home side late on as the Czechs maintained their record of scoring in every game during this qualifying campaign.

England go top of Group G, level on points with the Czechs but with a game in hand.
