Family of Al Jazeera Gaza bureau head killed in Israeli air raid | Israel-Palestine conflict News

An Israeli air raid has killed daughter, wife, son, of Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Wael Al-Dahdouh.

The wife, son and daughter of Wael Al-Dahdouh, Al Jazeera Arabic’s bureau head in Gaza, have been killed in an Israeli air raid.

Footage shown on Al Jazeera shows Al-Dahdouh entering a hospital in Gaza to see his killed family members in the morgue.

Looking shocked, Al-Dahdouh spoke to Al Jazeera: “What happened is clear, this is a series of targeted attacks on children, women and civilians. I was just reporting from Yarmouk about such an attack, and the Israeli raids have targeted many areas, including Nuseirat.

“We had our doubts that the Israeli occupation would not let these people go without punishing them. And sadly that is what happened. This is the ‘safe’ area that the occupation army spoke of.”

Some members of Al-Dahdouh’s family, including a toddler granddaughter, survived the attack on the house they were staying in at the Nuseirat refugee camp south of Wadi Gaza.

Details are still coming in, and operations are ongoing to rescue some people from the wreckage of the home.

Al Jazeera Arabic reported that many casualties of Israeli air raids are civilians who have moved to the south of the Gaza Strip, as Israel ordered.
