Samsung’s latest and greatest phone, the Galaxy Edge S25, was announced yesterday in all of its super-thin glory. The smartphone includes several updates, like a brighter display and an upgraded camera. The new upgrades pair better with devices like the Samsung Galaxy Ring to give you better, more detailed insights.

Following the launch, Samsung is offering a deal where you can get both devices for a discounted price. When you preorder a Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and bundle it with a Samsung Galaxy Ring, you’ll receive 20% off the Galaxy Ring. These bundle savings couple great with the preorder offers Samsung is already offering on the new S25 Edge, which including double the storage for free thanks to $120 off the 512GB model.

The new smartphone was announced at yesterday’s virtual Samsung Unpacked event. Its ultra-thin design was designed to compete with upcoming releases from other tech giants like Apple and create a more compact, airy device.

And this device is light. It’s the lightest Galaxy S phone to date, measuring 5.8 mm in thickness and weighing 163 grams. However, it still performs just as well as any smartphone, but it makes some compromises with its cramped form factor.

ZDNET’s smartphone expert Kerry Wan went hands-on with the phone and was shocked by its light build, but noted some caveats.

“With the Galaxy S25 Edge, you’re looking at a 3,900mAh battery (100mAh less than the smallest Galaxy S25), a dual-camera system (instead of three) that includes a 12MP ultrawide sensor, a larger vapor cooling chamber for improved thermal management, and 25W wired charging,” he said. “It’s very clear where Samsung cut corners with this model, but the question is, how much will they impact real-world experience?”

The Samsung Galaxy Ring was released last year but remains a tried-and-true ZDNET favorite, as it has a spot on our best smart rings list. It tracks your activity, sleep, and even stress to make life more manageable.

The ring is also super polished and compact, so a smart ring may be a better option if you dislike the feel of smartwatches. The form factor is also very sleek, so you might feel better about wearing it during more formal occasions. It has a seven-day battery life, so there is no need to charge very often.

ZDNET editor-in-chief Jason Hiner also tested the device and found its insights more actionable than his Apple Watches.

“The software on the Galaxy Ring is smarter than my Apple Watch — and I never expected that would be one of my conclusions from this review. The AI-powered insights in the Samsung Health app provide more directly actionable information from the Galaxy Ring than I’ve ever gotten from Apple,” he said.

When you combine the insightful capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy Ring and the new technologies of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, you’ll have all the tools you need to get a leg up on anything you want to work on

Here’s how it works

First, navigate to Samsung.com. Once there, preorder the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge (either the 256GB or 512GB model) and add it to your cart. Then, return to the store and add your Galaxy Ring to your cart. Once both are in the cart, the ring price should automatically be 20% off — no promo code is needed. Plus, if you purchase the 512GB model, Samsung is discounting it by $120, which means you can get double the storage on a new S25 Edge for the same cost as the 256GB model. Here’s what my cart looked like when I navigated through the deal.

How I rated this deal

You’re still purchasing a phone at or close to full price, even though you can nab double storage for less. But no matter which phone you preorder, this offer still only gives you 20% off the Galaxy Ring; the rest is paid for yourself. Therefore, the 20% discount elicits a 3/5 Editor’s Deal rating. This deal is best for early adopters who use Android products, especially those looking to maintain a particular lifestyle.

According to Samsung.com, this offer ends June 6, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. or while supplies last.
