Sadio Mane: Liverpool forward is a summer transfer target for German champions Bayern Munich | Football News

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Liverpool forward Sadio Mane this summer, according to Sky Germany.

There have been no negotiations between Bayern and Liverpool so far but the German champions’ sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic met Mane’s agent over the weekend.

Mane is under contract at Anfield until 2023 but talks over a new contract at Liverpool have been difficult.

Liverpool are primarily concentrating on extending Mohamed Salah’s contract – which also runs out next summer – and Mané is said to be annoyed by this.

After Bayern’s 2-2 win against Stuttgart on Sunday evening, Salihamidzic said when asked whether there would be a big-name transfer at Bayern: “Let yourself be surprised.

“We have to see what is possible and what is not. We have creative ideas.”

Liverpool are not commenting.
