Chiefs vs. Chargers live score, updates, highlights from NFL ‘Thursday Night Football’ game
The Chargers will look to sweep the Chiefs in a battle for the top of the AFC West.
During the previous contest in Kansas City, Justin Herbert helped lead Los Angeles to a 31-24 victory. However, since suffering a 27-3 loss to the Titans in Week 7, the Chiefs have maintained a six-game win streak. A win in Los Angeles will keep Kansas City on top in the AFC West.
As the Chargers earned a 37-21 victory against the Giants last week, Justin Herbert completed 23 passes for 275 yards with three touchdowns. Leading wide reciever Keenan Allen was activated off the COVID-19 reserve ahead of the matchup and wide reciever Mike Williams is expected to make his return from a heel injury. However, the Chargers will be without rookie left tackle Rashawn Slater after he was added to the COVID-19 list.
On the other hand, the Chiefs will play without defensive tackle Chris Jones, who leads the team with seven sacks, after he tested positive with COVID-19 on Tuesday. While the Chiefs will be without linebacker Willie Gay, who also ended up on the COVID-19 list this week, Patrick Mahomes, wide reciever Tyreek Hill and running back Derrick Gore are expected to light up the Kansas City offense.
