Thursday Night Football FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS lineup advice for Week 16 49ers-Titans single-game tournaments

This season’s final edition of Thursday Night Football pits the 49ers against the Titans in Nashville. The Niners are 3.5-point road favorites at FanDuel Sportsbook, and with both teams in the playoff mix, we’re likely to be treated to a highly competitive and entertaining matchup that will hopefully set up for fun DFS contests. It’s a weird game to navigate with the Titans’ being among the the most injured teams in the league, but we can take advantage of the uncertainty in our Week 16 FanDuel single-game lineup picks.

Here are the key scoring settings for FanDuel single-game contests: The point total for the “MVP” is multiplied by 1.5, but he doesn’t cost any additional money like the “Captain” in DraftKings Showdown contests. FanDuel’s default scoring is half-point PPR and four-point passing TDs, and there are no bonuses for 100/300-yard games like on DraftKings.

FanDuel Single-Game DFS Picks: 49ers vs. Titans

$50,000 budget, need at least one player from each team.

MVP (1.5x points): TE George Kittle, 49ers ($13,000)

After exploding for 62.7 FanDuel points over Weeks 13-14, Kittle had to settle for a simply “good” performance last Sunday. We’re still going to name him our MVP for this slate, though. With Deebo Samuel operating more out of the backfield, there’s a larger portion of target share for Kittle to handle.

MORE TNF: DK lineup | Start ’em, sit ’em | Mitchell update

FLEX: WR Deebo Samuel, 49ers ($14,500)

The recent trend of Samuel being deployed as a running back hasn’t impacted his scoring. He’s received just 17 targets over the past five games but has still reached double figures in fantasy scoring each contest, including two performances over 20 FD points.

WEEK 16 DFS LINEUPS: DraftKings | FanDuel | Yahoo

FLEX: RB D’Onta Foreman, Titans ($11,500)

Foreman has back-to-back double-digit FD-point efforts and continues to operate as the Titans’ lead back. He’s received at least 20 opportunities (carries plus targets) in two of his past three contests, and he should be in store for another solid workload.

WEEK 16 PPR RANKINGS:
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker

FLEX: RB Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers ($11,000)

Wilson filled in admirably for Elijah Mitchell (knee) last week, finishing with a 21-110-1 line and 18.9 FD points. Mitchell remains in doubt for Thursday’s contest, so Wilson should be set up to handle another healthy dose of touches.

MORE WEEK 16 DFS: Best values | Lineup Builder

FLEX: RB Dontrell Hilliard, Titans ($9,500)

Hilliard has been a decent complement to Foreman in the Titans’ backfield, contributing both on the ground and through the air. He has a pair of double-digit tallies over his past four games, including 17.8 FD points against the Patriots in Week 12. Even in a complementary role, we like Hilliard to see enough work to make a dent on Thursday.
