Saturday Full-Slate FanDuel Picks: NFL DFS Lineup advice for Week 18 Cowboys-Eagles, Chiefs-Broncos tournaments
Saturday kicks off the final weekend of the NFL’s regular season with a pair of contests. The Broncos host the Chiefs in the afternoon, and the Eagles host the Cowboys in the nightcap. You won’t find any Broncos in this Saturday FanDuel lineup, though. Not only are we rolling with the Chiefs defense, but the Broncos, for the most part, have failed to deliver worthwhile fantasy performances over recent weeks. The game in Philadelphia is tough to navigate for DFS since both teams have questionable motivations here, but the upside is strong, so our Saturday main-slate picks include a pair of Eagles and Cowboys. There are a ton of potential chalk plays on the board, so we found some sneaky value fit for GPP tournaments.
Before we get into this week’s lineups, here are the basic rules for FanDuel contests. Scoring is pretty standard, with the only notable settings being four-point passing TDs and half-point PPR.
WEEK 18 DFS LINEUPS: FanDuel | DraftKings | Yahoo
Saturday Full-Slate FanDuel Picks: Cowboys vs. Eagles; Chiefs vs. Broncos
Saturday main slate, $60,000 budget, no more than four players from one team
QB Jalen Hurts, Eagles vs. Cowboys ($7,700)
It’s been scientifically proven that players who narrowly avert a freak, catastrophic head injury — as Hurts did when a FedExField railing and multiple fans nearly fell on top of him — deliver an explosive performance the following week. Jest aside, Hurts has two 28-plus FanDuel performances over his past five contests and finished with a 22.54 FD-point tally in his first date with Dallas in September. We’ll have to keep tabs on whether the Eagles plan to take it easy with starters like Hurts, but for now, we’re happy to put him into our lineups.
RB Darrel Williams, Chiefs @ Broncos ($7,000)
Clyde Edwards-Helaire (shoulder) has a “chance” to play, according to head coach Andy Reid, but he didn’t practice on Tuesday. Wiliams has delivered when thrust into a starter’s role. He finished with 24.2 FD points last week, and he has two additional 20-plus FD-point performances on the season. He’ll be in position for another one if he receives a full workload.
SATURDAY SINGLE-GAME DFS:
KC-DEN FD | KC-DEN DK | DAL-PHI FD | DAL-PHI DK
RB Kenneth Gainwell, Eagles vs. Cowboys ($4,800)
The Eagles have a number of players on the COVID list including Boston Scott, Jordan Howard, and Dallas Goedert. That’s a ton of carries and targets that will need to be redistributed if those players remain out. Gainwell ranks fifth on the team in touches, though it’s a modest total of 85. With the potential absences the Eagles are facing and the fact that they’ve clinched a postseason ticket, Gainwell could see enough volume to deliver a significant fantasy impact.
WR Tyreek Hill, Chiefs @ Broncos ($8,200)
The best news regarding Hill — and the other Chiefs in our lineup, for that matter — is Kansas City needs to win on Saturday for a chance to claim the conference’s first-round bye. Hill is a weekly threat to erupt for a monster final line, and he’ll likely receive a (nearly) full complement of snaps to do so Saturday.
SATURDAY FULL-SLATE DFS: DraftKings
WR CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys @ Eagles ($7,400)
Michael Gallup (torn ACL) has played just nine games this season, so it’s not as if he’s a constant whose absence will propel Lamb into enviable volume. Lamb already leads the team in targets and receptions, but that doesn’t mean an extra two-to-three passes won’t venture in Lamb’s direction.
WR Devonta Smith, Eagles vs. Cowboys ($6,000)
Smith has had a good-not-great rookie season, but he leads the Eagles in targets by a wide margin (24 to be exact). Dallas Goedert (COVID) will be missed in the offense if he’s sidelined Saturday, potentially forcing Smith into a few more looks in the passing game.
WEEK 18 DFS: Best Stacks | Lineup Builder
TE Travis Kelce, Chiefs @ Broncos ($8,000)
Like Hill, Kelce will likely be in line for a full portion of snaps as the Chiefs try to claim the conference’s lone first-round bye. He found the end zone in last week’s loss to the Bengals, but his 10.5 FD points were a letdown. The Broncos held him to 4.2 in their last meeting, but it’s reasonable to bank on an improved effort this time around.
WEEK 18 FANTASY RANKINGS (PPR & STANDARD):
Quarterback | Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end | D/ST | Kicker
FLEX (RB) Tony Pollard, Cowboys @ Eagles ($5,900)
Ezekiel Elliott has 10 touches in each of the past two games and 72 total yards over that span. Pollard hasn’t done much better (16 touches, 108 total yards), but if the Cowboys are going to try to keep some tread on Elliott’s tires for the playoffs, it stands to reason Pollard will enjoy a respectable workload Saturday.
DEF Chiefs @ Broncos ($5,000)
The Bengals may have ripped the Chiefs to shreds last week, but the Broncos don’t have the horses to pull off a similar feat. Kansas City has scored double digit FD points in four of its past six, and another smothering, sticky-fingered defensive demonstration should be in the cards with Denver set to start Drew Lock under center again.
