B’mouth 1 – 1 N Forest

Substitute Sam Surridge came back to haunt former club Bournemouth as his late equaliser earned Nottingham Forest a 1-1 draw at the Vitality Stadium.

Surridge’s tap-in from Brennan Johnson’s cross in the 82nd minute extended Forest’s unbeaten Premier League run to four games and denied Bournemouth a first win in all competitions since November.

Gary O’Neil’s side had taken the lead in the first half through Jaidon Anthony, who finished well following impressive work down the right from new £20m signing Dango Ouattara.

But they were unable to find a second goal despite impressing for long periods and Forest, who had a Ryan Yates header ruled out for offside by VAR in the first half, will be satisfied to leave the south coast with a draw.

The result sees Bournemouth drop into the relegation zone after 20 matches, level on points with 17th-placed Wolves. Forest stay 13th, four points above the bottom three.
