Miranda Lambert Is “Redneck Enough” to Take Off Shoes at the Grammys

They say beauty is pain, but that’s not a motto Miranda Lambert chooses to live by.

While the country superstar looked stunning in her black bejeweled gown by Le Thanh Hoa at the 2023 Grammy Awards at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 5, the star revealed she prefers to choose comfort over style. (See every star on the red carpet here.)

As she exclusively told Live From E!: Grammys co-host Bobby Bones of her shoes, “They’re not fun to walk in, I’ll say that.”

Luckily, the 39-year-old—who is nominated this year for Best Country Solo Performance, Best Country Song, Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Album—has an ingenious way to get rid of her foot pain at award shows.

“I bring flats and I put on my heels at the last minute, and then I take them off. The tables are good because you can hide your feet under if you don’t have your shoes on,” she explained, before hilariously adding, “I’m redneck enough to take my shoes off at the Grammys.”
