“Grateful” Ryan Seacrest Admits He’s Ready for Live Departure

The 48-year-old announced his upcoming departure from Live after six seasons during the morning show’s Feb. 16 episode. And the show isn’t looking far for his replacement, as Kelly’s husband Mark Consuelos will soon step in as co-host.

“Working alongside Kelly over the past six years has been a dream job and one of the highlights of my career,” Ryan said in a statement. “She has been an amazing partner, friend, and confidant, and although we will always be a part of each other’s lives, I will miss our mornings together.”

He added, “It’s been a memorable ride and now I’m excited to pass the baton to Kelly’s ‘real’ husband, Mark.”
