What time are the NFL games today? TV schedule, channel for Saturday’s Week 18 doubleheader

The NFL season is winding down, but before fans get the last Sunday of the regular season, four teams will play in a Saturday doubleheader.

The first clash of the day will be an AFC West showdown between the Broncos and the Chiefs, with Kansas City setting its eyes on attempting to win the No. 1 seed in the AFC. It needs both to win on Saturday and for the Titans to lose to the Texans on Sunday.

Another divisional matchup will follow in the evening slate with the two playoff-bound teams, the Eagles and Cowboys, playing against one another in a matchup that will go toward deciding the playoff seeding in the NFC.

Here’s how to watch each of the Saturday NFL games in Week 18.

Chiefs at Broncos

The pressure is all on Kansas City in the first of the two games on Saturday.

The Chiefs were in control of their own destiny heading into Week 17 against the Bengals, but a 34-31 loss has put them needing some help to finish as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Kansas City will now have to beat the Broncos Saturday night and hope the Texans can beat the Titans on Sunday in order to secure that first-round bye and homefield-advantage in the playoffs.

Should they lose, the Chiefs could potentially fall all the way down to the No. 4 seed if the Bengals and Bills then win on Sunday. The last time the two faced off, the Chiefs were outgained 404-267 in total yards, but won the matchup 22-9.

The Chiefs-Broncos game will have the network’s top college football grouping on the broadcast for the matchup, with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth and Laura Rutledge reporting from the sidelines. John Parry will be the rules expert for the game.

Cowboys at Eagles

The Cowboys are in a similar position to the Chiefs. They had a potential to insert themselves into the conversation for the No. 1 pick though the road was far more challenging for them than Kansas City as they needed the Packers to lose to the Vikings last week.

Not only did the Packers win, but the Cowboys lost to the Cardinals, meaning that now the most likely outcome for Dallas is to wind up as the No. 4 seed in the NFC. There is still a chance for it to move up as high as No. 2, but it requires the 49ers to beat the Rams, Seahawks to beat the Cardinals and Panthers to beat the Buccaneers, all along with a Dallas win against Philadelphia.

The Eagles, on the other hand, are most likely looking at the No. 7 spot in the bracket, but they too can improve their fortunes with a win. Should they beat the Cowboys, it would take just wins from the Rams and Falcons over the Saints for Philadelphia to jump up to No. 6.

The usual ESPN “Monday Night Football” crew will be calling the primetime matchup on Saturday, with Steve Levy, Brian Griese and Louis Riddick in the booth and Lisa Salters reporting from the sidelines. Parry will also be the rules expert for that game.
