Apple Intelligence will support more languages from April
Appleās AI suite, Apple Intelligence, will soon be available in French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese, along with localized English versions for India and Singapore.
During the companyās Q4 2024 quarterly results call on Thursday, CEO Tim Cook said that the company will roll out support for these additional languages in April.
Last year, Apple Intelligenceās first release only supported U.S. English. Later, in December, when the company issued the iOS 18.2 update, it included support for English in Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, South African, and U.K. localizations. The company hasnāt revealed plans to roll out its AI suite in the EU and Mainland China.
Cook also noted that the new version of Siri, which understands on-screen context, will come out āover the next several months.ā
